Contact

To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you in connection with this website, or to ask a privacy question, email team@david-schweickert.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Property or loan-related details you choose to share (for example purchase vs. refinance interest, approximate timeline, or similar inquiry fields)
  • Any other information you include in a message

We use this information to respond to mortgage inquiries and, where needed to process a request you initiated, may share relevant details with lenders, title companies, or other settlement parties involved in that request.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers may collect:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, referring/exit pages, dates and times of visits, and approximate location derived from IP
  • Cookie and similar identifiers used for site operation, security, and analytics

Categories of personal information (summary)

  • Identifiers — Name, email, phone, IP address (collected: yes)
  • Commercial / inquiry information — Mortgage-related details you submit (collected: yes, if you provide them)
  • Internet / network activity — Page views, device/browser data, cookie IDs (collected: yes)
  • Geolocation (coarse) — Approximate location from IP (collected: yes)
  • Professional / employment — Only if you choose to include it (collected: sometimes)
  • Sensitive personal information — Not intentionally collected via this website (not sought)

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, full financial account numbers, or similar sensitive data through this public website. Do not submit sensitive financial documents via public contact forms.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide mortgage-related information you requested
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website
  • Understand how visitors use the site (analytics)
  • Display social features and third-party content (for example Google Business reviews)
  • Comply with applicable law and industry requirements

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential / functional operation — WordPress.com, Jetpack, and related Automattic infrastructure that host and run the site
  • Commerce-related cookies — WooCommerce-related cookies that may be present as part of the WordPress.com / Automattic stack even if you are not checking out a product
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (see below)
  • Social features — Facebook JavaScript SDK for social plugins (see below)

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT. This website does not currently respond to DNT signals. We may revisit this if a clear standard emerges. You can limit tracking through browser cookie controls, Google’s ads settings (linked below), and similar tools.

Google Analytics and advertising / analytics technologies

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) provided by Google LLC, via the gtag.js library.

  • Measurement ID: G-Y3FCFCFLNH
  • What it collects: information such as IP address (which Google may process according to its settings), device and browser data, and how you use pages on this site (for example pages viewed and session activity)
  • Purpose: to understand traffic and improve the website — not to sell your personal information as a product

Google may process this data under its own terms. Learn more:

Depending on configuration and applicable law, use of Google Analytics can involve sharing of identifiers and usage data with Google for analytics purposes.

Meta / Facebook

As of October 27, 2026, this site loads the Facebook JavaScript SDK (connect.facebook.net) for XFBML / social plugin features. No Meta Pixel (fbq) / Facebook ads pixel ID was detected on the public site on that date.

Please note:

  • Loading the Facebook SDK can allow Meta to receive technical data (for example that your browser visited this site) in connection with social features.
  • Clicking Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn icons or links may take you to those platforms, where their own privacy policies apply and additional data may be shared with those companies.
  • If a Meta Pixel or similar advertising technology is added later, this Privacy Policy will be updated to disclose it.

Meta’s policies: facebook.com/privacy

Other third parties on this site

WordPress.com / Jetpack / Automattic

The site is hosted on WordPress.com and may use Jetpack and related Automattic services for hosting, security, performance, stats, and site features. Automattic’s privacy materials describe how they process data for WordPress.com customers and visitors.

WooCommerce cookies

WooCommerce-related cookies may be set as part of the WordPress.com / Automattic stack (for example session or cart-related cookies). These support site infrastructure even when you are primarily browsing informational content.

Google Business reviews (Business Reviews Bundle)

A Business Reviews Bundle plugin displays Google Business / Google reviews content on the site. Loading that content may involve requests to Google’s services so reviews can be shown. Google’s privacy policy applies to data Google processes in connection with those services.

Social network links

The site links to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Visiting those destinations is governed by each network’s privacy policy.

Whether third parties collect information across sites

Yes. Certain third parties whose technologies appear on this site — including Google (Analytics and review-related services) and Meta (Facebook SDK / social features) — may collect information about your browser’s activity across websites and apps over time, subject to their own policies and your settings. Other providers listed above may also receive data when you use their tools on this site.

We do not control those companies’ independent data practices. Review their policies and available opt-out or preference tools if you want to limit cross-site collection.

Sharing of information

We may share personal information:

  • With service providers that help operate the website or process inquiries (hosting, analytics, form tools)
  • With lenders, title, or other settlement parties when needed to process a mortgage-related request you initiated
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or security
  • In a business transition (for example if assets related to the practice are transferred), subject to applicable law

We do not sell mailing lists of website visitors as a standalone product. Under some interpretations of California law, use of analytics and social SDKs can constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. See the California section below.

Retention

We keep inquiry and contact information for as long as needed to respond to you, maintain business records, and meet legal, regulatory, or licensing obligations, then delete or de-identify it when retention is no longer reasonably necessary. Analytics providers retain data according to their own retention settings and policies.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small professional website (including hosting-provider protections). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please avoid sending Social Security numbers, full account numbers, or other highly sensitive documents through public web forms or unsecured email.

Children

This website is directed to adults interested in mortgage services. It is not directed to children under 16 (or under 13). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA-aware notice)

If you are a California resident, California law provides certain rights regarding personal information, which may include the right to know/access, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, subject to exceptions.

Categories collected / disclosed: identifiers; commercial or inquiry information you submit; internet or other electronic network activity; coarse geolocation. Sources include you (forms, email, phone) and automatic collection via the site and service providers listed above. Purposes match those in “How we use information.”

Sale / sharing: We do not sell personal information for money. Use of Google Analytics and interaction with the Facebook SDK / social features may involve disclosure of identifiers and usage data to Google and/or Meta in ways that some interpretations treat as “sharing” under the CCPA/CPRA for cross-context behavioral advertising or similar analytics/advertising purposes. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

How to exercise requests: Email team@david-schweickert.com with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line and describe your request. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent as permitted by law.

This section is an informational website notice only. It is not a certification of full CCPA/CPRA compliance program status.

How to request changes to your information

Email team@david-schweickert.com to ask us to update or correct contact details you submitted, or to request deletion where applicable. We may need to retain certain records for legal or regulatory reasons even after a deletion request.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this notice from time to time. The “Effective / Last updated” date at the top will change when we make material updates. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you should review the revised notice.
